Getting started

Open the bundled sample journey from the Journeys tab and press play to see how a replay works.
Tap the photo button while viewing a replay to add your own photos and videos.
Tap “Start Trip” on the home screen to record a real trip. AnnoScene will ask for location permission and then draw your route as you travel.
Use the Atlas tab to mark the countries you’ve visited.

Does AnnoScene upload my photos or location? No. Everything stays on your device.
Why does it ask for location? Only to record your own route while a trip is active, so it can be replayed. AnnoScene uses When-In-Use permission. During an active trip, recording keeps running in the background — even when your screen is locked — so your route isn’t lost (iOS shows the location indicator while it does). It does not track you outside an active trip.
I forgot to record a trip. Use “Find Trips from Photos” to rebuild a journey from your geotagged photos.
